The season has started in Iceland and Lax-á e.h.f. is in awe of how it has been so far, this is the best start of the rivers since they can remember, probably forever!

The river Blanda opened up 5th June where 99 salmon were caught on four rods in only 2,5 days! Other beats of the Blanda followed with impressive numbers where eighteen salmon were caught on beat 2, nine on beat 3 and they filled the quota on beat 4 in the first hours. Last week fifteen salmon were seen in one pool of beat 4 of the Stora Laxa which doesn't even open until end of this month.

And the people are hearing similar stories from all the rivers that have opened, fish in numbers in everyone of them. And the salmon are returning in extremely good shape, fat and beautiful.

It is safe to say Lax-á e.h.f. is expecting a fishing bonanza on their Icelandic rivers this summer. They still have some rods up for grab if you want to join in. And they are already starting to book for 2017.
