Following a highly successful EFTTEX trade show in Amsterdam earlier this year, Snowbee UK has secured a major distribution deal that will see its range of products sold in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The Plymouth based company has signed up Fario GmbH, which operates out of Albaching in the southern region of Bavaria, a short distance from Munich and both the Austrian and Swiss borders. Snowbee Managing Director Russell Weston told Angling International that Flies & More, the trading name of Fario, provided the perfect synergy with his company by virtue of also specialising in fly fishing gear and equipment.

“As soon as we met Wolfgang Rosenlehner, CEO of Fario, we knew he was the right choice for Snowbee as his business philosophy is a mirror image of our own. For a number of years we have had a limited distribution in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, but Wolfgang’s knowledge and experience in these markets will be invaluable in developing distribution in the region.”

Rosenlehner added that he was pleased to be linking up with such a successful company as Snowbee. “Reaction from retailers in the region has been very positive to the news that we will be distributing Snowbee gear,” he said. “They were happy to have Fario as a new partner and to now have access to the well known, quality range from Snowbee. I am looking forward to a long and successful partnership.”
