Give your dry flies the space they deserve

Making it an impressive three awards in three years at the International Fly Tackle Dealer show, Tacky Fly Fishing is a brand developing a cult following. And now dry-fly stockists can cash in on it too.

Tacky Fly Fishing burst onto the scene in 2014 and showed the fly fishing world that the fly box doesn’t have to be a boring item to sell. The company brought an ethos of smart, clean design to the industry – and that was all down to the Tacky team’s experience as fly fishing guides.

“As professional fly fishing guides we have years of experience on the river with clients throughout the world,” explained Tacky’s Shaun Curtis. “Over the years, we’ve found that one of the pieces of equipment we use the most, the fly box, is not on par with the entire fly fishing experience. With all of the advancements in the industry over the years, we’ve often thought there must be a more simple, convenient, yet durable and sleek way to hold all of our flies. “With all the time on the river, we’ve had a lot of time to think about what the perfect fly box would be like. We’ve spent years in the development of our Tacky Fly Box, along with constant testing and a lot of sleepless nights trying to crack the code for the perfect fly box. We’re now excited to show you what will be the fly box that every fly fishermen must have, and we’re confident that you’re going to love it.”

It is designed with hackle and tails in mind. Most boxes smash the hackle when anchoring a fly, but with the patent pending 3D mat design that’s no longer an issue. The Dry Fly Box allows more space for hackle and ensures room for downward-facing tails on curved-shank hooks. It boasts all the other great features of the Tacky products. It’s strong and durable polycarbonate shell is ready to stand up to anything you put it through. The strong magnetic closure holds the box closed tightly while still allowing you to not have to mess with a clunky latch system that so often breaks down.
