An update on “The Pike Fight“ in Ireland: IFI are conducting yet another review of the pike and trout management policies. All the work by people from all over Europe in the past has brought us to this and forced them to review their deportation and killing polices in Wild Trout Fisheries.
The above link is offered to anyone whom has an interest in this subject. May we yet again ask for your assistance in sending your views in to IFI prior to the 01st of December 2016. The pro killing and deportation lobby has mobilized every trout angler in the country to push for pike management to continue. However using the tourism stick, which has been done since the beginning, is the way forward because at the end of the day the biggest benefit to the communities surrounding these water ways is through tourism and not local anglers.
Please feel free to distribute the above to anyone whom might submit their views on the barbaric acts of gillnetting, electro fishing and deportation of the Irish native apex predator.
Why would you remove or kill those pikes? Pike is the best and cheapest way for keeping the trout stock healty. They go for the easiest kill, so they are going for dead and sick trouts. Keeping the healty ones free from diseases…
Stop te killing please, this year I was the second time I in Ireland, if the killing go’s on i’m afraid it was the last time!
I really hope you guys won’t start culling pike again! Leave them be! They belong there and for a good reason! They keep your waters healthy by maintaining a healthy belande between prey and predators!
I will never come to Ireland again when they start culling pike!!
