After the successful first edition of the Hobie Predator Open in 2016 the event will return to the 2017 tournament schedule. From 25 -26 March, 2017, kayak anglers from all over Europe will have the opportunity to compete. The top angler(s) in the event will qualify for the Hobie Fishing Worlds 7.

From Marina Atlantica in Stad aan het Haringvliet, the Netherlands, anglers will have direct access to the great fishing area of the Haringvliet. They will hunt perch and zander during the competition. Whoever catches the most centimeters of fish wins the Hobie Predator Open 2017 and a spot on Team Europe for the Hobie Fishing Worlds 7 including an air ticket voucher. (Location and dates to be announced.)

Anglers must be fishing from a non-motorized vessel. Kayak, canoe and SUP are the only permitted watercrafts in this event. Sails are not allowed and only one person per vessel is allowed. Entry fee for the event is 50,00 EUR.
