Guiding for pike, zander and perch with boat on the Möhnesee

Flyfishing Europe, the major fly-fishing store and web-shop on the shore of the Möhnesee in Germany, now offers guided tours on the huge reservoir as well.

“If you want to go fishing, fish from the shore. If you want to catch some fish, make use of a boat…” This is a well known frase from the English language. And also: when you have already decided to book a guide to explore the huge surface of the Möhnesee, to learn new techniques and tactics, than you might as well aim for your best chance to catch the fish of your dreams, or not?

To make this possible, Flyfishing Europe now offers guiding at the Möhnesee with a modern predator boat.

With this you can cover hot-spots which can not be reached from the shore, it is easy to change fishing spots quickly and you will enjoy a wonderful day on the water!

Not everyone will want to fish for a whole day, which is why Flyfishing Europe also offers shorter late afternoon and evening trips. These trips are less costly but you will still have the chance to enjoy some exciting adventures on the water and you might well catch the fish of a lifetime!

Before you make your first casts on a new water, you might ask yourself a lot of questions: are the fish present at my fishing spot in this time of year and during this hour of the day? Do I fish at the right depth? Do I have the right lure with me that might bring some takes today?

When you are fishing on your own, it might take days before you will get an answer to these questions and before you get into contact with a big predatory fish like pike, zander or perch.

With an experienced guide at your side, you will find answers to your questions easier and quicker. You will learn how to read the water, you will learn new methods and techniques with which you can become more successful in a shorter space of time on a new water.

    1. Dear Brian. Have a look at the website of Flyfishing Europe, http://www.flyfishingeurope.de. There you can find information on fly-fishing for pike at the Möhnesee (the shop is right on the shore of the lake) and on fly-fishing for trout and grayling in the area. Make a visit to the shop shortly after you arrive in the area, I am sure they can help you with all your requests. Good luck, Rudy.
