But getting to meet hard-core professional anglers like Temple Fork Outfitters National Advisory Staff member Captain Gary Dubiel, owner of Spec Fever Guide Service is what sets us apart from your ordinary wine-tasting event.
Best known for landing giant red drum on the fly in his home waters of the Neusse River near Oriental, North Carolina, Captain Gary’s pioneering Pop-N-Cork method of fly fishing works on a variety of other species like flounder, striper, and of course speckled trout like the one you see above.
To learn how you can best adapt this style of fishing to your own waters, or to discuss which rods, reels, lines, and flies Gary recommends for your fishery, take in his lectures over the course of the weekend. Captain Gary will also be a Featured Fly Tyer–so you can watch how he constructs his Pop-N-Cork flies and learn to make them yourself!

Cory Routh owns Ruthless Outdoor Adventures, a popular fly fishing and upland bird hunting guide service. He is also a pro-staffer for Temple Fork Outfitters, YakAttack, and Hobie.
In 2008 Routh published Kayak Fishing: The Complete Guide, the kayak angler’s bible, full of detailed and practical information on rigging and safely and effectively fishing from a kayak. Nationally known as “Ruthless,” Routh is probably one of the most traveled kayak anglers, having fished waters from New York City to Texas.
