On Sunday the 25th of June the yearly “Vrolijk Vliegvis Festival” will be held again near Bovenkarspel in the province of Noord-Holland in the Netherlands. This day has turned into quite a tradition by now and the program looks like this:
08.00 – 08.30 hours, welcome with coffee, checking the list of participants and explanation of the day;
08.30 – 08.45 hours, departure to the fishing spots;
08.45 – 11.45 hours, fishing;
11.45 – 12.00 hours, back to the starting point;
12.00 – 12.30 hours, lunch;
12.30 – 12.45 hours, back to the fishing spots;
12.45 – 16.00 hours, fishing;
16.00 – 16.30 hours, back tot the starting point;
16.30 – 18.00 hours, closing of the day with a joyfull gathering.
The cost of participating in the day are € 8,00, to be paid in cash on the day itself. For this you will get a lunch (sandwiches and soup) around noon.
The fishing water consists of a beautiful polder and of course the Marker- and IJsselmeer. A pair of waders comes in handy when fishing the Marker- and IJsselmeer.
