Cayo Cruz, Cuba with Dave Grove 9th -17th February
Enjoy 6 days of guided fishing in pursuit of Permit, Bonefish and Tarpon, plus many other species on one of the most exciting new locations in saltwater fly fishing. Cayo Romano has been building a record book of impressive catches with large numbers of Permit caught from both skiffs and wading, large Bonefish specimens in good numbers and Tarpon up to HUGE sizes. Tarpon Caye Lodge, Belize with Mark Bowler 10th-18th March
Tarpon Caye Lodge has fast growing reputation as one of the top saltwater lodges in Belize. Tarpon Caye is home to hundreds of square miles of wade-able flats which have firm and solid bottoms, making them a prime wading area, and a pretty solid Grand Slam opportunity at that. You can either cast from the boat as your guide poles the flats, or simply hop out of the vessel to get an optimal casting position. Just two minutes from the Lodge is a lagoon with prime opporunities for BIG Tarpon. With your typical day involcing an early wake up and targeting Tarpon before breakfast, then following breakfast heading out onto the flats for Permit and Bonefish.
