Power-Pole launches Ultra-Lite and Heavy-Duty Spikes

Fresh from a successful reconnaissance visit to EFTTEX in Budapest, Power-Pole introduced two new products at the ICAST trade show in Orlando.

Part of JL Marine Systems, the maker of shallow water anchors, Power Pole launched its Ultra-Lite Spike and Heavy-duty Spike. The Ultra-Lite is an extremely light pole that doesn’t sacrifice strength. This is due to a technology called HollowCore that delivers both qualities in a three-quarter inch spike designed to provide a secure anchor for most canoes, kayaks, paddleboards and boats up to 1500lb. It comes in 6ft and 8ft 6in lengths and features a comfortable grip, with a threaded insert at the top for adding flags, lights, cameras or other accessories. It also has a 6ft lanyard with a loop at each end.

The Heavy-Duty Spike is made of a tough composite material and is intended for use with flats boats, bay boats, aluminium and pontoon boats. The three-quarter inch spike is 8ft 6in long and also has a comfort handle, threaded insert and lanyard. The spikes can be used manually or with the electric Power-Pole Micro Spike Driver.
