Kleiner and Melvin join AFFTA Board of Directors

Two new members have been voted onto the Board of Directors of the American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA) after the largest-ever turn-out of voters.

Tom Melvin, Director of Sales for Bozeman, Montana-based Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, and Tag Kleiner, Vice President of Marketing at Far Bank Enterprises, owner of Sage Manufacturing, RIO Products and Redington, have been elected for the first time. They join Ben Kurtz (Fishpond), Michael White (Blue Ribbon Sales) and Shawn Combs (Orvis Rod and Tackle), who were all re-elected.

AFFTA President Ben Bulis said: “It’s great to see the involvement of the membership and the greatest turn-out in our history. Our membership continues to grow year-on-year. We had 12 strong candidates running for the five Board seats and all of them should be congratulated for stepping up and running for the posts.”
