Fall is the time for streamers and big, beautiful browns. For the best chance to get into one, look for gravel bars, current seams and water between two and four feet in depth.

Fall is the time for streamers and big, beautiful browns. For the best chance to get into one, look for gravel bars, current seams and water between two and four feet in depth. Choose a line with a short sink tip to get down, and cast across the seams, stripping the streamer back with a short, jerky retrieve.

RIO’s InTouch StreamerTip is the perfect series of lines for this. The lines are specifically built for throwing streamers out of a boat and have a short, easy to handle 10 ft sink tip on the front. The front weighted head loads rods at close range, allowing anglers to make fast, one-shot casts.

Two different tip densities are available; the F/I has an intermediate tip that sinks about 1.5in per second, and is great for throwing streamers to the bank. The fast sinking type 6 tip sinks about 6in per second and is ideal when fast depth is required.
