Finest Fly Fishing, the fly-fishing shop and webshop in Bedburg-Hau near Kleve in Germany, organised a day of fly-tying at the shop on Saturday the 18th of November.
No large tent beside the shop or fly-casting demonstrations at the casting-pool outside this time but a small and cosy event inside the shop. The choice for a smaller event was also made because it is still holiday season in Germany.
André Miegies tied streamers for perch and pike with which he is very successful. He landed numerous perch above 40 cm in length in recent weeks again.
Sven Ostermann tied small dry flies as well as nymphs that have been featured in a recent book on nymph fishing of which he was a co-author.
Theo van de Poll was a last minute stand-in for another tier that had to cancel his presence due to illness. Theo tied different styles of seatrout flies for fishing along the coast.
Robert Wolhorn and John Elbers where the other two tiers that gave demonstrations all day.
Winter is coming, time to dress up warm.

The fly-tying season had obviously started, the visitors to the fly-tying event took the chance to refill their tying cabinets.
