Ken Middlemist, from Alnwick (UK), is one of the last living fly dressers (tyers) who learned and worked in the old Hardy company in Alnwick.
Many people will know him from the film, “The Lost World of Mr. Hardy.” Ken will tie salmon flies in his hand (without a tying vise) and has many, many stories to share. He much prefers being called a “fly dresser” and not a “fly tyer”.
