Salmo shadow – new important fly added
Salmo Sunray is another version of the original Collie Dog, which was first created in the late 18th century. There have been many different versions of this particular fly pattern, some more successful than others. The Salmo Sunray has always been a very important pattern for me in my life as a salmon- and sea trout angler. It is likely the best fly you can use during the very early season, when the big silvers enter the river. It is a very efficient and exciting fly to fish.
Fox double hook (DH) series
In the FOX series, we have expanded with one more FOX fly – one that I feel was needed in order to have the 5 perfect hook flies. available in two different sizes. I use these when the situation calls for something smaller than tubes when fishing for salmon or sea run brown trout.
The new member is named Sunburst FOX, a pattern that is a mix between the well-known Munro Killer and T&L, but with the adjustments I believe will improve on those great patterns.
Short-cut heads, a world class fly line
Have you ever been in a situation where you have high water from bank-to-bank and need a line that would make a difference? Or in a situation where you needed your fly to come down fast and fish right away? Or found yourself in a good salmon spot but you had no space for an overhead cast or a normal spey cast, etc.? Yes, we could come up with a lot of different scenarios that the true fly angler could face out there. It just shows that sometimes it is not that easy if you don’t have the right tool or line for the job.
Our Short-cut heads have really made fly fishing so much easier… a real fly fishing line – a line which I know will improve your catches and make you fish the “good” spots! It has certainly done so for us, and for many other customers in the last year.
Serenity series
We launched salmologic in June 2014, and our goal was not to be among the best, but to be the best! Our serenity series is proof that we strive and manage to fulfill our goal.
The serenity series is also the first series of rods that bears our newly designed signature grip handle. This is “the” handle we believe is the perfect handle for fly casting and fly fishing.
Skyborn series
Every single rod in the series has a designated purpose. In other words, it has been designed for specific types of fishing, casting, line weights and fly sizes. Every single rod is created to help you make the best of your precious time on the water and to improve your skills as a fly caster and, more importantly, as a fly fisher. My ultimate goal for this series of fly rods was to create a divine merger between physics, technology and practical functionality.

2go case – an innovative product
Traveling with fly rods and fly tackle can be very frustrating – I know this better than most – and this was also why I decided, in my early career as a designer and developer, to make the first 6-piece double hand rod that was ever put into a main production. Having more rod sections truly made a huge difference when traveling.

We, at salmologic, know the physics and the dynamics in a fly cast and how everything should be combined together. Therefore, we have decided against using the confusing AFTM system.
