US fishing boat manufacturer, Crestliner, has added a versatile new member to its line-up of craft. Built on the hull design of the Fish Hawk series and featuring the raised bow and stern decks similar to the PT, the Bass Hawk is said to offer a flexible platform for anglers.
“We’re really excited to introduce this new model not only to bass anglers, but also muskie and multiple species fishermen,” said Jake Mirabel, Crestliner’s Product Manager. “The Bass Hawk’s rugged build allows for fishing on bigger, rougher waters.”
Available in 1850 and 1750 models – in both side and dual console configurations – the Bass Hawk features good use of on board space, a generous 18ft 9ins on the 1850 and 17ft 9ins on the 1750 allow huge casting decks at both the bow and stern with comfortable seating throughout. Both lengths include built-in premium bucket seats, with the option of adding a centre one. The 1850 offers an optional lay-out, with two pedestal seats in the cockpit and jump seats in the stern.
Expansive bow and stern casting decks provide anglers with ideal platforms for casting exactly where they need and maneuvering with ease. For as advantageous as the bow casting deck is on the surface, it has a lot going on underneath, as well. Four deep storage compartments hold all kinds of gear and tools, a recessed trolling motor foot control tucks neatly away, and a centre lockable and illuminated rod locker contains 15 tubes that hold five 8ft rods, five 7ft 6ins rods, and five 7ft models. A rod ramp with straps holds an additional four in the cockpit The stern deck features multiple storage compartments and a 28-gallon aerated livewell.
Getting to the next fishing spot is quick and efficient, thanks to a maximum 150 horsepower Mercury Marine engine on the 1750, and 200 horsepower engine on the 1850 (both bucket and pedestal configurations). The build is completely wood-free, including the floor and transom, and optional vinyl flooring makes for easier cleaning at the end of a long day. Eight colour combinations and the optional Mad Fish graphics or Shock Effect wrap allow owners to personalise the look of their Bass Hawk.
