Management changes at Shimano Europe Fishing Tackle and Shimano Benelux

Shimano’s Erik Naberman has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Shimano Europe’s Fishing Tackle Division. In this role, starting from 1st September 2018, he will succeed Cor Ax.

Erik Naberman has been active for Shimano for 21 years. In the previous ten years he was the Managing Director of Shimano Benelux and member of the board of the Netherlands’ RAI Bicycle Association.

 

For the past two years he has been responsible for the Benelux Fishing operation and has been a board member of the BNHO, the Dutch Interest Group of Fishing Tackle Entrepreneurs.

As of 1st July 2018 Jan Harmsen was appointed as the Sr. International Sales and Marketing Manager of Shimano’s European Fishing operation. In this role Jan will be leading the Fishing Tackle sales and marketing teams, setting the strategy for the further development of Shimano’s European Fishing Tackle operations and supporting Erik Naberman on sales and marketing related projects.

Furthermore Shimano’s René Veenhuizen will replace Erik Naberman as the MD of Shimano Benelux on 1st October 2018. Initially René will concentrate on bike components related challenges. René is largely experienced in the bike industry and specifically in Shimano as he has been a member of Team Shimano for more than 27 years. During the last three years he was Sales Director of Shimano Europe’s Bike division. In this role he gained significant experience in guiding and supporting teams of more than 40 members. René will operate from Shimano’s Benelux office in Nunspeet, the Netherlands.
