The number of visitors at the Fly Happening in Putte, Belgium, was a little down compared with two years earlier. This show, like many other shows, has the problem that the younger public is hard to persuade to visit the show.

I cannot comment about the smaller number of visitors compared to previous editions because I wasn’t present in the past but I can confirm it was a great fair. My stand had a lot of visitors and – contrary to expectation – quite a lot were young boys (and a couple of girls!) fond of flyfishing. Many were families in search of off the road destinations both for fishing and tourism. It was a great surprise and very much appreciated.
