Fishing for a good cause

Fly-fishers and other anglers gathered something like 1900 euros on Friday the 28th of December for a good cause by fishing for trout on different lakes of the Berenkuil in Putten, The Netherlands.

For a price of fifteen euros, of which five euros went to KiKa (Foundation Children Free of Cancer), one could fish from nine until three o’clock on any of the ponds and lakes on the complex.

All tickets that were sold, were also put into a lottery with which a large number of of products from local companies could be won.

On the fly-fishing lake trout were caught for the most part on streamers fished on sinking lines.
