Bixpy makes motorized kayaking mainstream

Bixpy is a San Diego based startup focused on making the most portable and efficient water propulsion systems for water enthusiasts including kayakers, paddleboarders, scuba divers, snorkelers and more.

In recent years, kayak and paddleboard fishing has become one of the fastest growing water sports in North America and beyond. That growth has led to an insurgence of kayaks focused on offering these fishermen more options and more tools specific to their sport. However, it is quickly becoming obvious that these mega kayaks and paddleboards need more than pedals and paddles to get their owners to their desired destination and back home safely.

Since its inception in 2014 and first delivery in late 2017, Bixpy has changed kayak and paddleboard fishing by offering an affordable, super portable and modular electric thruster for anyone looking to spend more time on the water.

These motorized crafts not only allow regular users to go further and explore more, but they also allow those with disabilities and physical disadvantages to get on the water.

For 2019, we’re excited to announce that we have not only improved our initial line of products by leaps and bounds, but we have also added more than seven new adapters to allow users to mount our thrusters to different kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, personal pontoons, and even small dinghies!

Motorized personal watercraft is no longer for the few expert DIY fishermen or require a larger financial commitment than the boat itself. Simple, fast, efficient electric power is a reality for everyone and is NOW mainstream!

The full line of Bixpy products, adapters and accessories are available at www.bixpy.com. The company will be displaying the Bixpy Jets at the trade show ICAST 2019 at booth #1016.
