Return to the Arundell Arms

We drove from Blandford to Lifton yesterday, which is close to the border between Devon and Cornwall. The Arundell Arms Hotel is where we are staying for three nights, we will be fishing a number of their beats in the coming two days.

I travelled to the hotel by train some 35 years ago, the hotel would in those days rent a bike for me so I could travel to the different beats...

The cockpit / rodroom is still there, the fantastic restaurant and comfortable sitting area, even one of the guides from 35 years ago (David Pilkington) still works for the hotel.
