A very wet 27th edition of the CCF Marathon

The 27th International Fly Fishing Marathon, which was set up by the Castingclub of Flanders, was organised just about perfectly, except for the weather. The 72 participants could only enjoy one hour of dry weather, other than that they had to choose between moderate to heavy rain…

Despite the wet conditions, there was an intense battle to be seen between the favourites from Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg and France. The team competition was fished on the reservoir of Rabais (near Virton). Towards the end of the day 405 fish had been caught, an impressive number considering the poor weather conditions.
