Peter Elberse Dutch Champion Fly-Fishing for the fourth time

The final of the Dutch Championship Fly-Fishing was fished on the trout lake Baggelhuizen near Assen.

Cor van de Wal was until now the only fly-fisher who was four times Dutch Champion. Until Sunday the 10th of November that is, as Peter Elberse is in this remarkable position now too.

René Koops was able to land five trout. He was dependent on other competition fly-fishers to become Dutch Champion this day.

Bram Zanis ended in third place in the results for the day with three trout.

Peter Elberse managed to land three trout as well, his second place in the final was enough in the end to become Dutch Champion 2019.

Tino Groentjes managed to land a nice trout towards the end of the competition, after loosing three fish close to the net in earlier sessions.

It was a case of remaining focussed. In the end fifteen fly-fishers were not able to land any trout.

The Dutch Championship in Fly-Fishing was organised by the Dutch Federation of Fly Fishers (VNV) and Sportvisserij Nederland. All results are preliminary.
