Ken Middlemist is one of the last living fly dressers (tyers) who learned and worked in the old Hardy company in Alnwick. Many know him from the film, “The Lost World of Mr. Hardy.”
Ken will tie salmon flies in his hand (without a tying vise) and has many, many stories to share. He much prefers being called a “fly dresser” and not a “fly tyer.” Ken is again very much looking forward to welcoming you at his tying bench on the first level of the Tenne.
