Spain to get first international recreational fishing show

Spain’s first-ever international recreational fishing show will take place later this year. Fishow will be run alongside the Valéncia Boat Show, which is organised by Unión de Empresas Náuticas (UEN), together with La Marina de Valencia, from October 28 to November 1.

“Surprisingly, Spain is one of the few countries in Europe that does not have an international show dedicated to recreational fishing. As professionals in the sector and lifetime enthusiasts we were missing an event of this calibre so we decided to host a show for all the fishermen and professionals – and what better way to do that than together with the Valencia Boat Show.” said Adrián Vidal Vogt and Maria Bermúdez, the founders and Managers of Fishow.

Nacho Gómez – Zarzuela, the Director of the Valencia Boat Show, added:“The sport deserves its own space. Our aim is to bring together the greatest and most innovative offer and build an event that we believe will have a long and successful life.”

The company is currently working on attracting exhibitors to the new show and says that it has received a ‘positive reaction’ from relevant businesses.

Last year the Valencia Boat Show attracted 22,300 visitors and with the added attraction of a dedicated fishing show, that number is expected to be considerably exceeded this time around.
