The Greatest Salmon Fishing on Earth – Living and Working in the Ungava Wilderness

Deep in the heart of Quebec’s Ungava region lies the only lodge of its kind. A family run sporting camp with Scandinavian style log cabins; George River Lodge provides some of the best wilderness hunting and fishing left on earth. We were lucky enough to spend a few weeks with the owners, the Paquet’s, and create a film to tell their story. Buckle up, its going to be a wild ride thats sure to leave you changed.

  1. From 1968 through 1974 I worked on The Mighty George as a guide for Henri Culos and Theresa. Those years were filled with wonderful Atlantic Salmon fishing
I started promoting release of sal on. This was an uphill battle.
My greatest triumph was convincing my sport on August 1972 to release a 27 pound hen fish. I still have the photos of that great day. Cheers , duke
