Have you ever wanted to know how a fly line is made? It is a pretty cool and fascinating process, and this video goes someway to showing exactly how a fly line is made, and what it is made of. Sadly we can’t show the best bits, due to proprietary processes, but this is still a fascinating film for fly line buffs!
Perhaps the least understood factor when it comes to fly lines is the line’s weight – the AFTMA standard. This short video breaks down and simplifies this standard, and has some excellent information to help anglers understand exactly what the standard is, how much each line size differs by and, perhaps most importantly, relates the industry standard to common items.
