Thomas Wæver, the public face of protective eyewear manufacturer, Wiley X EMEA, has left the company.
In a little over a decade, Wæver helped establish the Danish-based business as a top brand across Europe with a strong distribution base within the EMEA region. He told Angling International: “It has been a privilege to work for a premier brand and Wiley X will always be very close to my heart. I enjoyed every minute of my career there and I take great pride in helping it grow.
“The highlight was undoubtedly taking a company that no-one in Europe had heard of to its current position. I was also delighted by our recent successes at Europe’s top trade show – EFTTEX – and winning the top prize in the sunglass category in the Best New Product Awards for the last three years running. “However, it is time for me to take my career to the next level. I hope to stay within the industry and I am looking for a role where I can thrive and shine and take a brand to new heights like I accomplished at Wiley X.”
