Sometimes you’re on, sometimes you’re off. To many, a great cast is more satisfying than catching a fish, but the peak has to be a great cast, resulting in a great fish caught!

We had an unprecedented number of entries in last week’s newsletter competition to win this incredible selection of RIO trout lines and Redington reels. This was one of the hardest competitions we have ever had to judge, as there were so many great answers as to “Why do you like RIO”?
Distilling the close to 200 entries down to a final 20 was hard enough, but to a final 5, and to an overall winner was almost impossible – taking hours of deliberating and digesting. In the end, we chose Ashley Meyer’s entry as it sums up all the things we strive to do at RIO – make incredible products, educate fly fishers, and keep it fun and enjoyable.
