Landing a fish, when fly-fishing a team of buzzers, nymphs or streamers at depths of three to six metres, can be troublesome when your fly-rod is only 2,75 or 3 metres in length. The Slip Strike Indicators are the perfect solution for this.

Especially when you are fishing long leaders from a boat or belly boat, it can be difficult to get the fish close enough for you to be able to net it. The Anglers Image Slip Strike Indicators from Wapsi in the USA are distributed by wholesale company Poseidon to fly-fishing shops in the Benelux and Germany and come in three sizes.
Due to their fluorescent yellow and orange colours, they are easily visible, even at large distances. The strike indicators will keep afloat, even when you use more than one tungsten bead buzzers, nymphs or streamers.
The indicator will keep a firm fit when you are casting or fishing. But when you set the hook, the loop will loose its hold and the Slip Strike Indicator will slide down the leader. In this way you will be able to pull a tired fish close enough and over the edge of the landing net with ease.
