How to Streamer Fish A Gravel Shelf on a Small Trout Stream

Gravel shelves hold trout, it’s a rule. The bigger the gravel and more prevalent the rock in the gravel shelf the more likely a trout will be present, but the angle of the shelf cuts current and provides habitat for trout to nose into out of the main current.
