G. Loomis has taken the wraps off a completely new brand website that will connect visitors to local inventories of their rods.
The Shimano company says the site has been developed with an ‘eye towards the future’ of the rapidly-evolving digital age.
Using the Rod Finder function, website users can drill down to find rods best suited to their requirements, and then locate the rods in their local dealers’ inventories. A unique partnership with Locally.com provides an opportunity for visitors to not only find authorised G. Loomis dealers near them, but also those that have their chosen rod in stock.
Convenience
“Locally.com brings the convenience of shopping online to your favourite bricks and mortar stores,” said Steve Ferrara, G. Loomis VP of eBusiness. “It is better than a dealer locator, which every website has. This is a product inventory locator. By coupling the consumer’s location with real-time inventory information provided by participating retailers, Locally.com determines which dealers have stock of a particular item for a completely online transaction or to buy online and pick up in store.
“In addition to expansive selections of both conventional rods and fly rods, the site provides essential product knowledge and detailed how-to articles. Online shoppers can also buy logo wear and apparel. Our goal was to create a new website that offers visitors an elevated experience and a more intimate connection to the brand, while meeting the higher digital demands of today’s anglers,” added Ferrara.
