The new Orvis Pack series is the result of more than two years of research into customer and Orvis associate feedback, laying the framework for new designs and innovative new features that streamline and improve the fishing experience.
Capacity
Streamlined and easy to wear, the Orvis Bug Out Backpack offers the needed capacity for the well-prepared angler or traveler, and the compartment layout and access points give a wide range of packing options and keep the gear load well balanced and easy to get to when needed.
The large main compartment can be divided into three separate compartments for a higher level of gear organization, and the top compartment allows access into the main storage areas. The main compartment comes with a removable divider and a side entry feature which allows sling-pack-like access by keeping one strap on a shoulder and eliminating the need to remove the pack completely to get to gear.
Circulate air
The mesh-covered ridged foam back panel lets air circulate between the pack and the wearer, and hip straps distribute weight and stow away when not needed. The fronts of the padded shoulder straps accept the Orvis Chest and Chip pack, and the Bug Out’s vertically adjustable sternum strap is used to keep the smaller packs in place while hiking.
A side water-bottle holder quickly converts to a protective rod tube holder, and the pack can receive an aftermarket hydration system. A smaller tricot-lined interior pocket protects sunglasses or mobile phones, and the hydration system pocket is sized and padded to also accept a laptop or tablet. Interior stretch-mesh pockets allow for even more gear separation. A well-placed handle gives a convenient handhold when picking up the pack, and the Net Holster net holder holds landing nets securely and stably while walking but within easy reach when needed.
