Though not everybody’s choice as a target species for fly fishers, carp are notoriously fickle to deceive, hard fighters, and can grow very large. In addition, carp are not adversely affected by hot weather (as trout are), and can be found in far more locations than trout. In short, they are an ideal species for the fly fisher to chase.
