For decades now, Hohe Jagd & Fischerei has been one of the most established and largest trade fairs for hunting, fishing, adventure, nature and off-road activities in the Alps-Adriatic-Danube region.

Fishing Section Reorganised!

In 2024 the ‘Fischerei’ fair is moving to hall 8 to benefit from far more light and space. A special culinary section will enable visitors to sample a wide range of delicious fish-based dishes and treats; and the fly-fishing pool is also celebrating a comeback. ‘Wissensdrill’ is a special stage upon which major names in fishing can share their expertise. Among speakers such as Michael Komuczki, Rudy van Duijnhoven, Veit Wilde, Tobias Leister and many others, Torsten Ahrens is to provide fascinating insights into open sea fishing.

 

 

Ramona Hani, head of the ÖFG Fishing Ladies group, has placed clear emphasis on youth development with various initiatives – including interactive activities for children, informative workshops and presentations for teenagers. There are also special items of interest for women, and a guarantee that the fascination of fishing can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of age or gender.
