The name “beiss-fly” is well-known to most anglers in Scandinavia and especially the famous river Mörrum in the southern part of Sweden. In the humus-colored rivers this fly is an absolute must-have with its ginger, olive and black colors that has fooled a big amount of salmon and seatrout. Originally invented by local flyfisher Ulf Sill who developed the technique of making the wing in several steps, creating the iconic “drop-shape”. In this video we have another skilled flytyer and flyfisher – and owner of the local shop Fiskeshopen Mörrum – Stefan Enevoldsen behind the vise demonstrating the tying of this “must-have-in-the-box” salmonfly.
