A few materials and a wing that can give the characteristic triangular profile and make the fly super buoyant are the keywords behind this fine caddis/sedge imitation, which we have had our Swedish friend Håkan Karsnäser to demonstrate the tying of. When the sedge flies are hatching, the fish in both running and still-water can rarely resist a well-presented imitation. The fly should float well and have the correct triangular profile and preferably a bushy look as well, all these elements will be well covered in this video when Håkan is tying the Pro Sedge.
