The small, delicate, hair-winged Monroe Killer, originally tied by Scottish J.A.J. Munro, is one of the most well-known classic salmon flies when we talk about the more modern hair-winged flies. Quite a few salmon have been fooled to take when the little fly comes swinging through the current – the combination of the colours; blue, orange, yellow and black, has proven very effective when late summer and autumn announce its arrival. In this video, we have our own Håkan Karsnäser to demonstrate the tying of this little classic.
