Guideline: Mastering the Classic Scandi Multi Tip

Tellis Katsogiannos Explains How to Adapt Your Setup

Join Guideline Product Developer and former Spey World Champion Tellis Katsogiannos as he gives a hands-on introduction to Guideline’s new Classic Scandi Multi Tip system. Learn how and when to fine-tune your setup by adjusting tip length or body weight to match real fishing conditions.

In this practical session, Tellis explains:
1. In windy conditions, tight quarters, or when you’re just starting out, using a body that’s slightly heavier than recommended can make casting easier and more efficient.
2. Choosing a shorter tip—like a 12’ compact tip instead of the standard 15’—shortens your setup, which helps when fishing from high banks, wading deep, or lacking room for a full D-loop.
3. Going with a longer tip, such as 18’, helps stabilise the turnover on longer casts and gives you a longer sinking section—ideal when depth is the top priority.
