Ahrex – Brown or Red hackle – by Lars Chr. Bentsen

James (Jim) E. Leisenring is named one of the towering figures in American wet-fly fishing and the author of the classic book “The Art of Tying the Wet Fly and Fishing the Flymph”. In this book a beautiful classic spiderpattern is describes as Brown or Red Hackle – which is allmost identical to another traditional North Country Spider called Bracken Clock. In this video we once again have our own Lars Chr. Bentsen behind the vise to demonstrate this simple yet beautifully spider using only few materials – all kept in the historical point of view.
