The fishing fair “Fascination Fishing” will take place from February 21st to 22nd, 2026 at the Emslandhallen in Lingen. Then in its 17th year, the consumer fair continues to grow in popularity!
As usual, Lingen is the perfect place to replenish your stock of fishing tackle and accessories at this time of year. Major retailers from across Germany and the Netherlands will be present. In addition, a variety of established travel providers will be on hand to inspire you to plan your next fishing holiday.
Experts in the angling scene:
The large lecture hall in Lingen will once again feature top-class speakers in 2026: Jörg Ovens, Horst Hennings (“Rod out, the fun begins”), Enrico Di Ventura, Michael Kahlstadt, Veit Wilde, and others will thrill audiences with their presentations! All the presenters will be available to speak with at the booths of various exhibitors.
Fly Fishing Pool:
This area is also becoming increasingly popular in Lingen. Certified casting instructors will be on hand at the pool to demonstrate the beauty of the sport. The EFFA will be present with Dominik Borrmann and top-class fly tiers – excellent! Daniel Wilmer’s fly fishing school will also demonstrate how easy fly casting can be. Come and try it out for yourself!
Angling Clubs & Activities:
Several large angling clubs from Germany and the Netherlands are traditionally to be found in Lingen. The cooking show by LFV Weser Ems e. V. is particularly popular, once again featuring new specialities and free samples. This year, the cooking show is located next to Sportvisserij Oost Nederland and Groningen Drenthe in area D 4.
Supporting Program:
There are several boat exhibitors with boats for all recreational purposes – from inflatable boats to small yachts. A professional reeling machine, which invites visitors to experience virtual fishing, is sure to be a hit. The social media launch is also worth a visit! Food and drinks are never neglected in Lingen.

“Faszination Angeln” (Fascination Angling).
