The Fly Fishers International FlyFishing Fair (the event formerly known as \u201cConclave\u201d) is coming up on the 4, 5, and\u00a06 of October. It will be held at the Vada Sheid Community Development Center on the ASU campus. The event will be in the Sheid on the 5th and 6th. There will be seminars, tiers, vendors, and fly tying classes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Most will be free; some will be paid. Chad Johnson is the headliner with lots of information on fishing and tying large streamers for big brown trout. He will conduct a panel discussion–\u201cStreamers Fishing: Young Guns vs Old Farts\u201d, which will be both educational and perhaps entertaining.<\/p>\n

Set up in the Sheid will be\u00a0Thursday, but there will be classes held all over our local area: hands-on classes on how to operate a riverboat, how to paint a trout, how to Spey cast, and more.\u00a0Thursday evening there will be a welcome party sponsored by Dally\u2019s Ozark Fly Fisher at Dally\u2019s with burgers, brats, beer, and music.<\/p>\n

Event holders are working on making this year\u2019s Fly Fishing Fair a great event! And could use a few volunteers. Volunteers get into the show for free and get a tier\u2019s pin.
