The Swedish maker of the Icross, the groundbreaking craft that made its debut at this year\u2019s EFTTEX, has secured a major distribution deal that will see it being sold across Europe and Scandinavia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The UK-based canoe and kayak manufacturer, Riber Products, will handle sales of the Icross, which has been described as a \u2018game changer\u2019 for the way it sits between a belly boat and a kayak. The deal was first brokered when representatives of the two companies met at a country fair earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Icross Flyfishing CEO and founder Adam Westerman told Angling International: \u201cTeaming up with a large company that has 40 years of experience in manufacturing and distribution allows us to concentrate on promoting the brand across Europe.\u201d In collaboration with Riber Products, Icross has added new colours to the range and they will be premiered at the Paddle Expo in Nuremburg, Germany, next month alongside the original.<\/p>\n

Westerman said: \u201cI am really looking forward to the show and getting the Icross in front of many highly influential decision makers in the watersports market. From there we will build on the work we have already done in Scandinavia, creating as much awareness as possible.\u201d Formed less than two years ago, Icross Flyfishing has enjoyed a highly successful 2018, more than doubling sales. \u2018The future looks really exciting,\u201d added Westerman.<\/p>\n
