On Wednesday evening the 21st of November the Irish Press Awards for the year 2018 were presented in \u201cFlavours\u201d in the \u201cWestergasfabriek\u201d in Amsterdam.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The awards were presented in five categories: newspapers, Northern-Ireland, special interest, lifestyle and blogs. The jury consisted of Mirjam Dresm\u00e9 (ANVR) and Hans Boumans (Volkskrant).<\/p>\n

The Irish ambassador had a warm welcome for everybody, especially for the companies from West Cork that took care of the food and drinks this evening.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Karen van der Horst had a \u201cQuestion & Answer\u201d with Yvette van Boven, who promotes the Irish kitchen through a book and her TV-productions.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

In each of the categories four or five articles or blogs were nominated for an award. In the category \u201cSpecial Interest\u201d my article on flyfishing in the historic East of Ireland, a publication in the magazine of the Dutch Federation of Fly Fishers, was nominated too.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
