Dear Bristol Bay supporters,<\/strong><\/p>\n Last week was big for Bristol Bay.\u00a0 A week ago, the Army Corps of Engineers announced that the current Pebble proposal would not receive its key federal permit, a major step in the right direction toward stopping the Canadian mining company with a risky and incomplete plan.<\/strong><\/p>\n On Friday, Trout Unlimited hosted our friends from\u00a0MeatEater, Orvis and the American Fly Fishing\u00a0Trade Association for the #HuntFishStopPebble\u00a0Debrief to talk about what the announcement means, and how we move forward to get Bristol Bay the protection it deserves.<\/p>\n Were you unable to\u00a0join\u00a0the\u00a0#HuntFishStopPebble Debrief\u00a0on Friday? <\/p>\n <\/p>\n While we celebrated last week, today we come back ready to fight for Pebble\u2019s permit to be officially denied. The Trump administration got us here because they listened to science and YOU repeatedly say that Bristol Bay is the wrong place for the proposed Pebble mine. Now, they need to take the next step to kill Pebble once and for all. Please sign this letter to thank the Administration for their actions, and to ask them to officially deny the Pebble permit.<\/a><\/p>\n Pebble isn\u2019t gone yet, and we need the strength of our community\u00a0to push hard here.
