Theme: Effective Casts to Conquer Currents and Obstructions<\/span><\/p>\n

Instructor: Thibaut Giband<\/span><\/p>\n

Thibaut’s demo will show techniques to effectively present a fly with obstacles between you and the fish, how to fight drag with curved or slack line, and placing a fly under branches. He\u2019ll explain and demonstrate basic and advanced casts, line management techniques, all with a classic outfit (except a longer leader) so that the spectators can take some tricks home with them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gary will provide, beginning with the roll cast (the basis of all Spey casts) a colorful review of Spey casting techniques from the past to modern methods such as the snake roll.<\/span><\/p>\n

Theme: Casting Techniques for Sea Trout Fishing and Competition<\/span><\/p>\n

Instructor: Silja Longhurst<\/span><\/p>\n

Silja is an enthusiastic angler for sea trout and is also very successful in competition casting. She will show us how to use competition techniques, in a meaningful fashion, for coastal angling.<\/span><\/p>\n
