ICAST crowds continue to grow while the industry benefits from increased numbers of anglers<\/h3>\n

The future of recreational fishing continues to shine bright at the sportfishing industry\u2019s largest trade show. After a full week of activities like fishing tournaments, workshops and product demonstrations, the 13,346 attendees from ICAST 2023<\/a> are heading home.<\/strong><\/p>\n

While some ICAST visitors will make a short drive to homes within the Sunshine State; others will set off for far-flung domestic destinations in the northeast, the pacific northwest and the desert southwest. Still more will board flights for places like Australia, Denmark, Peru and Japan.<\/p>\n

ICAST is produced by the American Sportfishing Association (ASA)<\/a>, a national, non-profit trade association made up of more than 800 member companies and organizations who share a stake in promoting sportfishing for community and commerce. This year, the show\u2019s 13,346 attendees came from all 50 U.S. states and Puerto Rico as well as 80 countries. This year, 633 exhibitors set up booths inside of the Orange County Convention Center featuring an astounding array of products from full-size bass and bay boats to camper trucks, live trolling motor demonstrations, lounges and\u2014of course\u2014the show\u2019s legendary social hours.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is one of the most impressive shows we have had since I\u2019ve been here,\u201d said ASA Trade Show and Membership VP Blake Swango. \u201cThe booth spaces are bigger, better and more impressive each year and I think this is probably the most beautiful show that I have worked on.\u201d<\/p>\n

American Tackle Company Wins \u201cBest of Show\u201d<\/h3>\n

Florida-based American Tackle Company<\/a> took home ICAST\u2019s most prestigious honor, the coveted \u201cBest of Show\u201d award with an all-carbon fishing rod handle, the G2 Tsuka 2 Complete Carbon Handle. The innovative custom rod component beat out a field of more than 1,000 other entries in the ICAST New Product Showcase Awards, coming out on top of 37 other category winners to give rod builders industry bragging rights.<\/p>\n
