The Scott Fly Rod Company has introduced a new Session series of fly rods. They are high-performance, hand-crafted fly rods that blend some of Scott\u2019s most acclaimed design approaches with its latest materials and technologies.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Session rods bring together high line speed, exceptional loop control, and a light and lively feel in hand. They load easily and respond to subtle inputs from the angler.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnyone who has fished Scott freshwater rods in the recent past will immediately recognise our signature \u2018fast with feel\u2019 action in Session rods,\u201d says Scott\u2019s President, Jim Bartschi. \u201cThey share some of the design approaches and materials DNA with some of our most legendary rods. \u201cIncorporating some of our newest technologies give these rods their own unique feel and attributes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Session rods feature Scott\u2019s Carbon Link epoxy resin system, multi-modulus lay ups, ARC2 reinforcement, ReAct and natural finish blanks. Session rods are handcrafted in Montrose, Colorado, using the finest components including milled aluminium reel seats with type two anodised and wood inserts, silicon nitride stripping guides and super grade cork handles.<\/p>\n

They are available from eight to 10 feet and in four-piece configuration for three to eight-weight lines. The Session fly rods cost $675 and are available in fly shops now.<\/p>\n
