From the creation of the Kip Fly sand eel imitation\u2014crafted with hair from Colin\u2019s dog named Kip\u2014to trusted salmon and sea trout patterns like the gammarus shrimp and Colin\u2019s Rag Worm imitation, this video not only inspires anglers to get out and fish but also shows that you can succeed with just a few confidence flies. Lana and Colin are avid anglers, clearly passionate about the waters they fish. Growing up next to a north highland spate river, learning how to fly fish was as natural as learning how to ride a bike for Lana. From age 4, she was independently catching trout in small streams and hill lochs, and from around 5, fishing for Atlantic salmon began. After catching her first salmon at age 6 on a stoat&#8217;s tail, her love of fly fishing was truly ignited. Lana primarily fishes in the highlands of Scotland for Atlantic salmon, brown trout, and sea trout, although if it can be caught with a fly, she will give any species and technique a go. Lana lives in the Scottish Highlands and works in the habitat conservation &amp; land management sector. She is fortunate to have fisheries conservation and management as part of her day-to-day job. Alongside her main career, she also enjoys guiding and teaching beginners how to fish.
