The week long holiday in the south of the Netherlands made that the Friday of the Rotterdam angling show was rather well visited, also by children. A lot of youngsters took the chance to also learn how to tie a fly and how to cast with a fly-rod. The Visma lasts until Sunday the 5th of March.<\/strong><\/p>\n

From ten o’clock in the morning until six in the afternoon (until five over the weekend) people visiting the Visma could watch demonstrations, take profit of bargains, participate in lotteries and competitions etc.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\"Fly-tiers
Fly-tiers at the stand of the VNV, the Dutch Federation of Fly Fishers.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\"Fly-tackle
Fly-tackle was provided when people wanted to learn how to cast a fly.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Bas de Bruin gave several fly-casting demonstrations together, just like Rudy van Duijnhoven, and both casters were busy teaching as well during the first day.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Peter Elberse (left) and Marty Maas are tying pike-streamers at the stand of Fly Supply. Together with Hengelsport Hamelinck this stand is the main supplier for fly-fishers visiting the show. A few more stands have materials available for tying pike-streamers.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
